What a hosted buyer invitation actually says about an agency
This October, Nick, our Client Relationship Director, is heading to Las Vegas for IMEX America as part of the IMEX International Hosted Buyer Programme. He's speaking too, Top 10 Tips for Confident, Easy Event Networking, Tuesday 13th October at 9.30am in the Ideas Theatre.
Why a hosted buyer spot is worth explaining properly
Most people outside the events industry hear trade show and picture a stand, a banner and a stack of leaflets nobody reads. IMEX America isn't that, at least not for the hosted buyers. It's a structured programme, funded travel, a confirmed hotel and a schedule built entirely around one to one meetings, a minimum of eight a day across three days. Nick will sit across the table from event organisers, meeting planners and industry leaders from around the world, in conversations that are agreed in advance rather than hoped for.
What earns an invitation like this
A hosted buyer spot isn't bought, and it isn't guaranteed by size alone. It goes to organisations the events industry already recognises as worth the room, people who bring genuine buying relationships and real experience to the table. For World Wide Group, that recognition sits on top of over 90 years producing live events, broadcast and content for organisations across 80+ countries. It's the kind of credibility that opens a door like this quietly, without a pitch attached.
What we're actually looking for in the room
Some of Nick's meetings are ones he's chosen. A good number are ones where the other side asked to meet him first, which tells its own story about where World Wide Group already sits in the conversation. Across all of them, the aim is the same: understand what's actually keeping event and production teams under pressure this year, budgets stretched, timelines compressed, internal teams doing more with less, and work out where a partner with genuine production depth actually helps rather than just adding another vendor to manage.
If you're at IMEX America this October
If you're attending and want time with Nick, get in touch and we'll get you into the schedule directly, or come along to his talk on the Tuesday morning. And if you're not there but the conversation is one worth having anyway, that door's open too.
